As mentioned in the Beginner's Guide you can read profiles about people. This is where you specify what you want others to read about you. You don't have to put anything personal here if you don't want, but I think most people like to see at least something here. There is an additional field to the profile called "interests". This field will only display something if you are registered in the white pages, and then it will display what ever interests you checked there.
