Expanded Guide

A simple but very important place. This is where you decide on your handle. Anything is possible. I try to pick something that is a bit of mystery that make people wonder a bit. Other variants are letters and numbers combined (2good4u?) or misspellings that make people sit there trying to pronounce them (phule=fool). Some people choose their real names whilst others choose something that have to do with their profession.

This is also where you put your e-mail address. It doesn't have to be real, but it should be so people you meet can reach you outside of PowWow. It must be added that the password is cued to the e-mail, not the handle.

Last of all, the password. Anything is possible, but as usual it should atleast be four digits and something that isn't too easy to guess, yet you should be able to remember it. If you are relatively anonymous on the net then you can perhaps choose a friend's name, or why not the name of your first girlfriend? Maybe even add a number or two in the middle, for instance the number of days/months/years you were together? If you are the sole user of your computer then you can save your password with a healthy conscience. If however others, or there's the risk of others, use the same computer then you probably shouldn't save it. As always with passwords: If someone else gets ahold of it then they have full access. At best they take a look around and then leave a note telling you to change your password. But they could also ruin your online handle and at the same time skim your bankaccount because you just happened to have the same code to your visa card.
